Wythe CandyWhen you have shopped up an appetite some of Williamsburg’s best dining options can be found in the Square.  The Fat Canary has been named Virginia’s best restaurant several times.  While pricey it is worth every penny, but be sure to make a reservation.  Just across the street is The Trellis, famed home of the Legendary Death by Chocolate.  Looking for Seafood?  It doesn’t get any better than Berrett’s where you will always find the freshest catch.  For a more casual experience, when the weather permits, Berrett’s opens their patio with a great specials and often live music.

Special events take place throughout year making Merchant’s Square one of the most lively places in town.  Most Saturday mornings March – October you will find the farmer’s market with lots of local crafts and goods that can’t be found anywhere else.  Throughout the summer events include the Summer Concert Series with weekly outdoor concerts and Sunday night movies on a giant blow up screen.  See our calendar of events for information on Merchant’s Square Events.
