For the latest in high end fashions be sure to visit Binns or Closet Envy and if you love the Williamsburg at Home catalog you won’t want to miss the store. Williamsburg at Home allows you to bring home modern versions of the classic southern style Williamsburg is known for.
When you have shopped up an appetite some of Williamsburg’s best dining options can be found in the Square. The Fat Canary has been named Virginia’s best restaurant several times. While pricey it is worth every penny, but be sure to make a reservation. Just across the street is The Trellis, famed home of the Legendary Death by Chocolate. Looking for Seafood? It doesn’t get any better than Berrett’s where you will always find the freshest catch. For a more casual experience, when the weather permits, Berrett’s opens their patio with a great specials and often live music.
Special events take place throughout year making Merchant’s Square one of the most lively places in town. Most Saturday mornings March – October you will find the farmer’s market with lots of local crafts and goods that can’t be found anywhere else. Throughout the summer events include the Summer Concert Series with weekly outdoor concerts and Sunday night movies on a giant blow up screen. Looking to take in a show? The Kimball Theatre, Williamsburg’s first movie theatre, has been repurposed by Colonial Williamsburg for both live performances and musical acts as well as festival films.
In addition to ample parking at Merchant’s Square, The Williamsburg Lodge, Williamsburg Inn, and Williamsburg Woodlands hotels are all within walking distance and the Williamsburg Area Transit also stops here.
