Riders on a wooden roller coaster with gloomy trees in the backgroundThe wait is over! Busch Gardens new coaster InvadR, the parks first wooden coaster is now open at America’s Most Beautiful Theme Park! InvadR will plunges riders through the hills of New France as they become part of the Viking invasion. With nine airtime hills, including a signature 74 foot drop, InvadR will reach speeds of almost 50 miles per hour. Tell your family to hold on to their helmet as they embark on this epic journey.

This newest addition to the park brings Busch Gardens’ coaster total to 7 with the park’s centerpiece continuing to be the original Loch Ness Monster and its signature interlocking double loops. Over the years the park has built a stellar collection of adventure packed rides with several coasters that have been named among the top 10 steel coasters in the world including the favorite Alpengeist which has graced the list several times.

From the wings of Apollo’s Chariot in Festa Italia, to the imposing mighty Griffon in France, Busch Gardens offers coaster enthusiasts’ action packed thrills at every turn. Because these rides tend to be among the most popular in the park, we recommend planning your visit ahead of time using the park map knowing that the shortest lines are often early in the day.

If riding every coaster is on your “must do” list be sure to check out the parking areas when arrive. If you find you have been parked far away from the gate that is a good sign that the park will be crowded and you may want to consider purchasing a Quick Que pass on your way in. This will ensure front of the line access to most rides and keep you from spending the day in lines.

Another way to avoid missing out on any of the excitement is not to try to pack it all into one day. There are several Busch Gardens tickets that offer multiple days of admission for the same price or only a few dollars more than a single day ticket, yet it gives you the option of visiting several days in a row. Visit the park for a part of the day and then head out to see some of Williamsburg’s other exciting attractions knowing you can come back again tomorrow.
