In 2013 the Williamsburg Pottery celebrates 75 years as a Williamsburg landmark. The first of the Williamsburg Outlets, for years visitors and locals alike have flocked here for the best deals on home goods, Christmas decorations and indoor and outdoor home décor.
For years part of the thrill of the Pottery shopping experience was the warehouse like atmosphere where you literally had to hunt through millions of items to find a diamond in the rough. Guests could spend all day scavenging for amazing deals along skid row or in one of many shops. Some with dirt floors and many without air-conditioning.
Fast forward to 2011 when the Pottery was redesigned and condensed into three buildings encompassing more than 160,000 square feet of retail space. Each building features an old world design and all of the shops light up at night with eye catching colored lights outlining each of the buildings.
Gone are the days of enduring the shopping experience just to find a great deal. Today you will enjoy a modern atmosphere streamlined into a more organized, easy to navigate space. You will still find the area’s largest selection of silk and dried flowers either loose for you to purchase and design yourself or purchase them already arranged by one of the Pottery’s artistic floral designers.
What used to be a cafeteria is now replaces by Au Bon Pain bakery and sandwich shop. Wine enthusiasts will enjoy a stellar selection of wine and gourmet items from all over the world.
If you want to bring a bit of Williamsburg home with you the Pottery offers a selection of Williamsburg prints available either framed or unframed, or have the experts at the Pottery custom frame your selection to match your own style. Souvenirs like tri-corner hats and other Williamsburg items are also available to help you bring your Williamsburg memories home.
The Pottery offers a series of in-store events and Farmers Markets that will make your visit even more entertaining. Enjoy wine tastings, music in their courtyard and other events throughout the year.
